Well, my mom wanted a newer car. She was tired of driving the 1995 Chrysler Concorde. She also works for Leo Burnett of Detroit, they do the Pontiac TV advertisements, Mr. Goodwrench TV advertisements, they USED to do the Cadillac advertisements (Do you guys remember the superbowl Cadillac ad a few years back where it had like silver liquid like capri-sun commercials do and the Escalade came out of the silver liquid? That was their work), etc. Anyway, she wanted to "support the client" so she wanted to get a Pontiac and decided to get a Grand Prix. Overall, we got it for an amazingly good deal. The guys at Serra Pontiac, Buick, Cadillac over at 30 Mile Rd and M-53 were great guys, Chris was very energetic and personable. You could tell he was hungry to make the deal, and he got the price where we wanted it.
Also, side note, anyone in the Macomb area, they do oil changes on any car for $10 he said. I told them about MiFbody, so if you go up there mention Chris's name and that you're from MiFbody.
Anyway, we got the car home and my guess is that it was a 3 year leased vehicle. It has 32,000 miles on it and is in great shape.
But, I think it was a leased vehicle because it feels like it never had a real good detail done to it. Usually people that own their cars atleast do a wax or detail once a year or what not. The paint on this car honestly felt like 800 grit sandpaper -- I compared the feel of the paint to a sheet of 800 grit and it felt pretty close to the same.
Anyway, I'm detailing the car today (taking a break to post progress pics and eat some lunch). I've only claybarred and I worked on the exhaust tips after Jill pointed out how dirty they were.
So enjoy some pics. I know it's hard to tell what I've really done until you get to the exhaust pics. WOW what a difference some 400 grit sandpaper followed by 800 grit followed by 1000 grit sandpaper and some Flitz polish makes!

nice job dude.
Oh god no! All the pictures are taken after claybar, btw. I love how much black can reflect when it's just clean -- doesn't even need the wax to look great.
