I wonder how hard it would be to turn it into a T-Top car or even a 'vert . . .
That would make it the COOLEST!! Oh yeah, maybe some better gas mileage. . . That will come soon. . . I checked at Advance, and a set of Hooker Long Tube headers is about $520, so I'll be looking for a set on EBay or something. . . That cost doesn't include the Y-pipe, either, so . . . yeah. The car is freaking me out, it handles amazingly, it runs, drives, and sounds PERFECT. . . one of my co-workers brought "Fast and the Furious" to work for us to watch during the quiet early morning shift, and the cars on that movie sound like toys compared to the Formy . . . I'm thinking of coming out to Woodward next week, I have Friday off, so it's definitely possible. Anybody else game?

what axle ratio is that thing? you should get better than 12. Even when I drive with a lead foot in the city i usually get 19 or more. autos must really drink the gas.

Then again, I have full exhaust and an intake, my car can breathe.

i wanted t-tops bad when i first got mine, but you have to figure solid top f bodys are already set to be built up they dont need as much reinforcement when you finnaly get the power itch and keep adding stuff to it...just leave it be makes racing stripes look better anyway...lol

Sounds like between a tune up and the TPS it should get a lot better though.

I would be shocked if he didn't.
My high mileage , carborated 21 year old, in need of a carb rebuild v8 Automatic trans bird gets between 20 to 21 MPG measured on my daily commute.

I could only hope that the newer versions would get even better mileage.

Well, I replaced the TPS Friday, and I drove it from Adrian>Ypsilanti>Woodward, actually got lost in DT Detroit on the way there, and back to Ypsi and finally back home, took 3/4 of a tank of gas to drive all that way. Actually less, I didn't fill it up all the way before I left, so probably like 5/8 of a tank. Not bad compared to what it was getting before. I'm not planning on converting the car to T-Tops or 'vert, I just want to get the sagging headliner fixed, replace the power window motors, and get the millions of little things wrong with the car fixed so I can start modding her and getting everything ready for show season. I'm thinking of getting a WS6 kit or a suspension drop kit with the extra cash I have, just a little something to get me started.

Oh yeah, for whoever asked, it's got 3.23 gears, but not for long. . . I'm thinking a set of 3.73's would be nice.
