Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Progress is looking awesome. What kinda paint you have going on? I really like that new blue/green chameleon that comes on the new pontiacs.
Thanks Tom.
They will be spraying the 1996 Blue-Green Chameleon color for the main body color. I am still having a hard time deciding on what color would look best for the Bird Logo that they will be custom painting on my hood.
My guy is Fred, and I was told they will be shoot color on the El Camino this week, we will see...
When i was there today it looked like the El Camino's passenger Door was in Primer, He was sanding down on the Driver Door, And he had started doing a little sanding on the top of the hood.
So maybe I missed it some where, but why all this work? The sig pic looks like the paint was awesome already.
Over the winter someone:
Kicked the bottom of my Front Bumper.
Through rocks at the front bumper & Passenger Quarter Panel.
Keyed the Hood, Passenger Fender, Passenger Door, Passenger Rocker Panel, & Rear Bumper
I had already purchased a Trans Am Rear Hatch and Rear Bumper so I needed to have them painted. (The bumper painting was covered by insurance.)
I was so mad when i pulled the cover off of my car March 11th and saw all the damage. The insurance company really upset me when their claims adjuster was net picking at everything. They only covered $1200 of a $2500 job.
Wow man looks like its coming along nice i bet you cant wait to drive it again
The stress is starting to bleed away as the car is getting finished.
I'll still be parking the car for about a month as the paint finished drying. The next time she will be coming out will be just before the Pontiac Spring Dust-Off on May 20th.
The paint color that I chose for the Custom Firebird logo that us being painted on the hood (Dupont Chromulusions - Absolute Purpleen) is going to take 3 business days for it to arrive from Dupont. The paint only comes in pint sizes so even though I need only 6 ounces it will cost me over $300/pint. But it should look great in the end.
So with this delay if they order the paint today, the body shop will not receive the paint until Monday or Tuesday next week. Then the car should be finished by Wednesday or Thursday next week.
The paint for my bird came in yesterday and they started painting the car today. Unfortunately since the car is in the paint booth i could not snap some shots to post, but The Chameleon should be finished by Friday the 20th.
I will be doing my biggest photo shoot on Saturday, so be prepared the posted pictures.
P.S. I reduced the size on the pictures coming from my photobucket account, in view of some complaints on how long it took the tread to load, so this thread should not be loading a lot faster.
