eh, I got taps.....

pretty sure its 7/16 20. i bought a bottoming tap to fix this mistake the first time around. might not need the bottoming tap tho if it wasnt jacked all the way to the bottom.

alternatively, you can drill it out and do 1/2 20 which is what a big block uses and get a arp balancer bolt for bbc

either way, not that big of a deal. but be sure to leave the bolt in a few turns

-Lingenfelter double coil springs
-Comp Cams retainers/keepers/lifters
-New lifters
-New timing chain (which I better pick up today before I forget it and drive home without it)

im curious what kind of numbers that cam puts down. ive been comparing that one to the 224/230. Seems people are either extremely happy with the 227 or disappointed.

are you going with a stock timing chain or something better?

Stock style chain, just not GM. Forget the exact company but we ordered it from carquest (no its not a carquest chain). For now the Mechanical Water Pump. Next summer we are thinking about tearing the engine completely out rebuilding the lower end, putting in a bigger cam, and a few other power savers like electric water pump, underdrives, or possibly even going bottle fed. For now though only a top end rebuild.

Don't tempt me because I do have a nitrous kit just sitting around my place. I bought it last year cause I got such a good deal. I love prebuying parts for projects I don't own yet.

We'll have to climb up in the loft above the mustang and dig it out. It's a univeral kit. It will fit on anything, all you have to do is buy the final fitting. Like the LS1 end peice, LT1 end peice, carb spacer plate, etc
