thats an old picture. I still think that look on the hood demands a T-Top.

Wouldn't it be nice if GM was saving the T-top option for a new bird? I mean that option was available on the firebird before it was available on any camaro. Birds had T-tops in the late 2nd Gens, camaros did not get t-tops until 3rd Gen.

Actually I think it would be cool to see the tops painted to match the car. I've never seen it before but I bet it would look like sex!

Wrong! The Firebird did have T's before the Camaro but Hurst did the conversion on them. Once GM brought the T tops in house they also added them to the 2nd gen Camaros, I believe in '77.

that is false, ive seen several later second gen camaros with t-tops. you may be right about birds getting them first however.

Correct. I personally owned and 81 Z28 with T-tops, that was the last year of the 2nd gen. I have seen several 78 & 79's with them as well over the years.

                        Okay I get it! Yeesh!

In either case, GM has held off on giving the new Camaro ttops so there has to be a reason. If not for a bird what for?

Its because they dont seem to work with the current design. I have however seen photoshops of the 5th gen in hatchback format, and IMO it not only looks good but would work perfect for the people that want ttops.
