  • Bought A New Car!

Hello everyone! I have been off the forum for a while but have checked in off and on. I had a 92 Camaro Z28 but sold it since I purchased a home a few years ago. I wanted to get another 3rd gen since those are my favorite bodies but didn't want to change the rear seatbelts to accompany my 4yr olds car seat. So I bought a 4th Gen. Here is a quick picture I took of the car. Just got it like 4 days ago:

The car is super clean not an ounce of rust anywhere on the car and really clean under the hood as well. I will post more pics once I actually get it out of the garage and get it cleaned. I have no mods planned for this year as we have some repairs needed for our home and a few trips planned this summer. I do have a quick question. I don't like the stock rims on the car. I saw a picture of a similar car on LS1tech and liked the rims better. I have posted the pic below. Are these stock WS6 wheels?

Nice purchase! Just from that photo, the car looks pretty dang clean! Congrats on the purchase!

And yes, the rims on your car are the stock Trans Am rims, and the reference photo rims are the WS6 rims from 93-00 I believe?

IIRC, in 2000, they switched to a new style WS6 rim that was called the "speedline" WS6 rim. Added photo for reference.

Someone may have to correct me on the rim dates, though.

      EDIT: Moved Photo.

Thanks for your response Meissen, would love to swap mine out for the ones above or aftermarket wheels. But I kind of like the stock ones on the car I posted above.

Nice! I'd feel guilty modding something that clean. You don't see too many of those that aren't all roached out and dogged on.

Yes, you have stock Trans Am 16" chrome WHEELS. The ones you like are 17" WS6 WHEELS.

It will be hard but I'm not looking to do too much especially to the body. It will stay the Metallic Green. I will change the wheels to the WS6 ones if I can find some or aftermarket of the same style. Maybe tent the windows but other than that most off the mods will be for performance. I've seen some modded LT1's that aren't too over the top that I liked. But you are right I really like how clean it looks stock.

Thanks Larry. I have begun to look for the 17 in WS6 rims but they seem to be hard to find. I did see a set on ebay but he wanted like $250 per wheel and they had imperfections that would need to be fixed.
