COULD YOU GUYS PLEASE POST PICS OF WHAT YOUR DISCUSSING??? I kind of was hoping to collect some pics of concept T/A's and concept cars. I have no problem with breakout discussion, I just want to look at some cars! I saw a really sweet pic of the 2009 GTO in Hot Rod or Pontiac HP but I can't find it online. Any help finding that would be awesome. Also I saw a pic of the restyled mustang that looked good. Much pointier, but again, can't find it.

I've not seen anything from GM other than the Camaro concept.

Everything else (including the pie-in-the-sky Firebird concept and GTO) has not come from GM.

I talked to my dad, hes the cheif architect for tool design or some BS. anyways GM is making 4 cars off of the zeta1 platform. Will be including the GTO, Impala SS, Camaro, and the firebird if pontiac can afford it.

Dang guys, start reading on CamaroZ28.com in the Future Vehicles forum. These pics are honestly over a few years old.

No kiddin. The real concepts are YEARS old as in 6-10 years for most of them. You call yourselfs car guys(and girls) but you don't even keep up with what's current? The Firebirds are just wanna be photochops of the Camaro that some people have dreamt up. Face it, the Firebird is dead. Sales of 2 door V8 coupes just won't allow for GM to have 2 nearly identical models. I'm surpised they gave Saturn a version of the Solstice(it's mostly because they wanted a way to sell the Opel Vauxhall body style here in the US and the Solstice was already a go) GTO is the current 2 door V8 coupe for Pontiac and is intended to be a Gran Touring car vs a full on sports/muscle car like the Camaro. I'm guessing there will be a concept of it at Detroit next year. Pontiac division is supposed to be going all RWD in it's lineup in what they claim is an attempt to compete with BMW. Interesting strategy but the current GTO was aimed at competing with the 3 series coupes and pretty much fell short or was never advertised as such.

Sorry guys, but if you have pics of a concept that is years old, it's not a GM released sketch.

Frankly, they're probably not even worth wasting your time on.

OEMs won't release a concept sketch until a business case has been iniated (not approved) and management has given the go ahead to test the public's reaction to the vehicle. They won't want to muddy up public opinion until they are seriously considering building the car.

If we're lucky, we'll see what the GTO is intended to look like at this year's Autoshow. They won't make the same mistakes they made with the current model.

Thanks Angie! I am not doing a project or anything. I just really enjoy looking at concept cars and comparing their features to production cars. I don't mind if they are 100 years old. Still a good source of inspiration for many. I checked out LS1tech Brian, thanks. They have a lot of good ones!
