Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
A few years ago when we lived in Heidelberg Germany( I was in the Army for 22 years) my wife worked for the military Dental Clinic, I got to be friends with one of the dentists as he was into speed like me(he could afford to go alot faster...lol).. He ended up buying a brand new 2002 twin turbo Porsche Carrera 911.. He took me for a ride after it was broke in, we hit 180+ on the Autobahn.. Here's a couple pics and vid. Sorry couldn't snap a shot of the speedo at 180, 160 was the only 1 that turned out.. Let me tell you the autobahn is sure FUN!!! Just click on last image to view the vid..
God that looks like soooo much fun, Before I die that is one thing I want to go and do, is flying down the autobahn
Isn't as much fun as 20 years ago. With the open borders now the autobahns are pretty crowded. But when you get that open stretch, nothing like it. Fastest I ever drove over there was 155 MPH. We rented a 5 series BMW the last week we were there and ABUSED the crap out of it...lol
so whats like the laws over there? Cops patrol that? speed limit? I k now there is some special rules to it but i'm not sure, please fill me in... gracias!

BTW, thats super kick ass, the car and the speed!
Well back in the 80's there was no posted speed limit.. You could go as fast as you wanted anywhere on the Autobahn, however if you wrecked above 80-85 MPH you were usually held responsible for the wreck. Today in alot of the autobahn there are posted speedlimits of 85 MPH, the unlimited days are pretty much gone due to the heavy traffic volumes.. The police do not patrol the autobahn for speeders. In Europe they use cameras, they'll set up in areas where there are speedlimits and if you go through their radar above the speedlimit the camera snaps a shot of your front plate and you get a ticket in the mail a couple months later. There's really no contesting, cause when you do, they send a picture of your car with you behind the wheel..lol Sorry, have had a few drinks already, hope it all makes sense? LOL
