Why they kept it on the ZL's for the refresh only people in the know will know. Now if there only someone you could we ask
Aerodynamics and cooling. The ZL1's front end is designed so aerodynamically perfect when it comes to letting air in for the supercharger and cooling the engine bay that changing the front end over to the 2014+ wouldn't have made sense. The Z/28 being naturally aspirated can use the 2014+ frontend.
And how would a turd gen actually get out in front of anyone in order to do that?
Says the guy whos car has more miles on a flat bed or trailer then actual miles from being driven.
And I know my "TURD" is faster then your pickup or tow truck, so

IF there's any truth to it.....when engineers "design" vehicles....aesthetic failure is imminent. So the case with the ZL1.

The most compelling feature on the "old" 5th gens that says, "I'm a huge *****" is that awful front end. One of the reasons for my change in opinion on the '14 is the lighter appearance of the front end. Proportionally, it's still pretty big, but MUCH better than the previous attempt. Meh. The refreshed base model cars with the flush headlights remind me of someone smashing their face against a glass window. I do agree on the lower/sharper proportion though.
With the wide variety of bricks and eggshells on the market, ill sacrifice aerodynamics for good styling. But i actually like the splitter.
In a vehicle where speed and handling isn't the first priority, it's definitely okay to sacrifice a little bit to have something that appeals visually, but doesn't give up all of it's performance potential in doing so.

You're just going to have to trust me on this one, but just because you went to Creative Studies and claim you're a "designer", it doesn't mean you're a good "designer".
They are intentionally kept in the dark and ignorant about the product they're designing.
And the supposition that the ZL1's fascia is "aerodynamically perfect for the supercharger" is a complete falsehood...sorry, B...
