Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Can't take credit for the picture. John's hobby is photography, and he probably has more in his cameras than I have in my car. This is a digital picture, but only he knows the details. He takes pride in getting that perfect picture. I have been lucky to get some pictures from him after each weekend.
That's a cool pic. My brother-in-law is in a mustang club that runs at Waterford Hills a couple of times a year. I noticed that you have SCCA stickers on your ride. Do they have a website/info in regards to low end/basically stock classes for racing ??

Steve,
email me off line and I can get you hooked up. fireball25f500@yahoo.com
We (Waterford Hills) are expanding our reach to bring in more entry level events. This year we held 4 Open Track Days for street cars, and 3 high performance drivers education events. We also have a road racing school each spring.
My car is about as stock as you can get for a F-Car. We race all kinds of cars from 4 cylinder Neons to Corvettes, Formula cars and tube frame chassis. There is a class for everyone.

Jeff
and if there isn't a class for what you brought to waterford...they slap an X on your car....and let you go run into everyone else that you aren't competing with one thing that has turned me off from waterford is that there's hardly any cars in one particular class....that and the dB level is rediculous...we would have to stuff supertrapps on my step dad's car, shove tons of packing down the "mufflers" and coast down the back strait, still breaking sound cause they'd pick up his dB going up hilltop
What is the dB level? I'm also wondering if our FSAE car would be too little for the track... top speed around 100
db is 75 at the fence line, equates to approx 88-90 at SCCA events. It is measured at a specific location due to township guidelines. Almost any street car can make sound. Purpose built race cars require some effort. The car Matt speaks of has struggled with sound year after year. Other GT1 cars do not. It is specific to the design of the exhaust system.
Most FSAE cars don't meet the SCCA GCR safety requirements. If they do, then there is a class for them. I believe the FSAE cage requirements are less strict. Carbon tubs must be be FIA certified.
If someone wants to race, there is a place for them.
