  • Enemy Seen Lurking in Vicinity Of Rodger's Chevrolet Show

Spotted this on the way home from Rodger's Chevrolet Car Show today, wife and I in the ZL1. It has a manufacturer plate on it so it is a 2013. Looked good, but the question on everyone's mind is will it be able to put those 650 ponies to the ground, brake and handle like a ZL1?

What was the outcome of the last pic?

Yes, I think it will be able to use all the power. There's a few 650+ hp cars out there.

Now.... you were in a position to see before anybody else in the whole WORLD. Personally, I would have gone after him even if there was a State Cop on my ass. He probably wouldn't have done anything, but you could have at least humiliated him a little.

Good Lookin Car! My buddy has his Uncles 40th anniversary GT500KR Super Snake a few weeks ago out on WW. Sick nasty cars for sure! I don't mind that Grabber looking blue color. But then again I am a bit of a Mustang guy

If I ever bought a Mustang, it would be Grabber blue or green. Id love a GT.

Yep, I also like that color. Wouldnt order it though. And this one in particular looks bad because it has black and white accents... why? One or the other.

My ZL1 has 300 miles on it, so I'm disinclined to race it just yet. Plus, manufacturer cars are driven by ford people who are on strict orders to obey the rules or face excommunication (otherwise known as getting canned!). So no race story, sorry.

I personally love the blue color, I have never owned a Ford, but if I did it would be a grabber blue Mustang. Personally I love the rivalry between Ford and Chevrolet. Remember, without the Mustang, Chevrolet would have never built the Camaro! So let the horsepower wars rage on forever, and all hail the victor! (If it takes a millennium to determine the outcome, so much the better)

Meh I don't know if you can credit the Camaro to the Mustang.

GMs employees and dealerships were stuffing big engines in tiny cars in the early 60s.

The only reason the f body came around was to compete with the sporty 64 1/2 Mustang compact car. The Barracuda was actually released a week or two before the Mustang - but the 64 Barracuda... The Mustang sales figures blew GM's small platforms (Chevy II, Corvair, F-85/Cutlass, etc) out of the water, which at the time were competing against the Falcon, Comet, Valiant, etc.
