  • Hot Rod Drag Week pics

    Hot Rod Magazine rolled into Martin this morning for a stop on Drag Week.
    5 tracks in 5 days, drive the whole way, no cars on trailers, no support vehicles. Just what you can carry with you. There was some WAY COOL stuff there Real street cars ... some running 8's
    A few pics till they kicked folks without press passes out

      The green Nova was on Power Tour this summer. Seems like he ran like a 8 second pass @ ~140mph in Englishtown, NJ.

          Al, yup, same Nova from Englishtown. He was hitting 150mph today. Crazy

                im soo pissed my picstures didn;t come out that good ray. ohh well time for a new camera. ill post up some of the ones that turned out in the morning. well prolly afternoon since it'll be a long night

                    That Nova is in the November issue of Hot Rod. I just got mine when I got home from the track. It's got some sweet build pics and shows where the intercoolers for the superchargers are hidden. There's also an article on rebuilding the 31 Model A roadster that was there but not racing(bare metal beater). Oh yeah...it also has one of the Transformers Camaros on the cover doing a burnout!!!

                      was there any that didn't lift the front wheels/wheel up? I know I'll get beat down for saying this but that red mustang is actaully a really cool car

                        There wasn't much for wheel's up cars. There was a turbo 4 mustang that did one HUGE wheelstand and must have had the front nearly 5 feet in the air! I thought he was going to stand it on the rear bumper he got so high! I saw him run 2 other runs and he got the front up at least 2 feet or more. The other cars pretty much hooked and hauled and maybe pulled the front a few inches.
