  • My stripes/flames are done!

I know it's not f-body realted (why do I feel the need to preface every post with that now? LOL) But I thought I'd share my lastest compleated project. All vinyl, all done by hand. My back is killing me

Nice job Grant! You don't need to preface yours posts, we all love to see the many facets of your creative talents. I like the CF flames and I'm sure this will spur some fbody folks to new projects. Once an Fbody man always an Fbody man.

Damn Grant - that must have taken forever. How did you cut the flames out? On the car or off? I'd be afraid of cutting into the paint

Wasn't too bad most of the time was in drawing the design. And yes, the flames were cut while on the hood. couple of hours freehanding the design. Cuting was quick. I was gental but I'm sure I scored the paint a bit. No-one will ever know as long as I don't take these off. I don't plan too either. At some point I may get an SRT-8 hood and then it won't matter at all.

            Very nice.

Some of those vinyl applications really give people a boatload of (relatively) inexpensive solutions.

Neat project I have always thought the magnum was a neat affordable station wagon. (I am excited to see the cruze wagon)
I am not fan of the flames but looks like it turned out good.

Did you use Di-noc? I've done some projects with it and it's easy to work with.

I like the design, just not the CF. Would look pretty kick ass in flat black though!

I've been thinking, my rear hatch is covered in CF too. perhaps I should do some small licks in that too to tie the rear into the front. Hmmmmm.
