what kinda hp gain do u get runnin 6-10 psi on a ls1?

i plan on doingg heads amd cam over the winter and was told it will put me in the 390-400hp range


my also do a supercharge down the line but just wondering what kinda hp gain i'd see runnign that low of psi


or if it would even be worht it


i'm set on gettin 450hp or higher

Start your own thread asking that, Don't need to start 2 different things in this one. This is for a 3.8l fbody so gains and such are gonna be different than on a ls1

just got done talking to the guy, he is sending the straight scroll to us right away and we can just swap the scroll out ourselves. No biggy

Also we need to get it to the track yet this fall to get baseline #'s at the track. The thing has never even been to the track yet, lol.

When we had our stone stock '96 3800 auto it ran a VERY CONSISTANT 16.3 @ 86mph. No where near what the SS runs but I was really happy with it for a V6.

Those numbers aren't very good for the 3.8l. Most of the stock cars run mid to high 15s. Last time I was there I ran 15.2 NA and that was before headers, better tune and such. Ran a 14.4 with 12* of KR on the bottle at the end of the run, yikes! Got that tune figured out though.
