  • Took a trip down memory Lane!

I realized today that I've owned my Camaro for 7 years! I bought it when I was a senior in highschool. of those 7 years it's only ran for 3 and it has also had a lot of transformation. Looking back I probably would not do it again, but i'm glad I did.
It used to be a fun little 400rwhp street car, now it's a xxx rwhp useless nice weather stretch of a "street car" lol

Anyways, screw all the nonsense, I just went through my photo bucket looking at all my old pictures and had a serious trip down memory lane!
The day I brought it home (yea that's a scanned picture! lol)

back in highschool my buddy Joe Cauley had a '96 Z28. That was my "rental roo" as we called it. anytime I would do a head or cam swap on my car I would borrow his car and he would usually take his Dad's Corvette GTR which in the day was a pretty sweet car, now it just collects dust in the back of his dealership and I think in the last year I've put more miles on that car than him or his dad has

Lol look at that cluttered ass engine bay!

and on my high school senior skip day I was at W2W with my buddy getting a dyno tune as I had finished I think a head swap the night before and spent the whole night driving around just to change the oil at 7am and head to the dyno at 9!

Then it got some different wheels

and this same day with the OG around here

decent pic with the chrome 10 spokes

Then there was the one meet and greet that I almost made it too until this piece of $hit spec clutch broke on my way there

Then a big 'ol suspension order back in the day when I put the 9" in

Or back in the day (like '05) when HID's were like $400 for a kit and very few people had them lol

My Mom and her Ex-Husbands 30th anniversary TA. that was a fun car that I got to put a lot of miles on too!

and then the dumb idea of "hey lets just turbo this thing..."

Then the engine bay was painted and it started to look like a car again

few turbos and a few engines later

and Now today it's up and running again. I have my glass guy coming tomorrow to throw my new windshield in. I have some bumper/fender alignment to still mess with and the exterior still needs a good detail. But hell it's been a long ride to this point! I drove the car home from work today and left my truck at the shop. I changed the oil in my garage and went for a solid 45 minute cruise around. No heat, no ac, no radio, and no overdrive. It was a blast just cruise'n around and getting into a little boost here and there

Peace out I hope ya'll enjoyed my timeline of Camaro Ownership!

Haha that parking structure photoshoot was a fun day - hard to believe I still work at the same place and I've never done any other photos in that garage.

No I sold those a long time ago. I think I sold them to Casey (superman Johnny's buddy, 99lswon I think on here) I think I sold them for next to nothing since the chrome was actually all peeling off

                    Nice write-up Matt!

I remember when I first joined the site back in '07, your car was always on the left side as "car of the year" and has been one of my favorite f-bodies out there... I think it may have played a subconscious role in the current color scheme on my car Now if only those subliminal messages can convince me to bite the bullet and go turbo...

I think we would all love to see this car at the M&G this coming June!

I would love to make it to one. I have wanted to make a M&G for the past 3 years but I kept breaking shit right before, or just didn't get things done in time. Your Red WS6 looks great Fred! I liked the pics you had of your car and Joel's in front of that barn!

As for turboing your car, throw a 200 shot on it and call it a day! My words of wisdom lol.

I would like to make No ET this saturday, but i'm still in the middle of not sure if i'll make it or not. my pecker head glass guy has been avoiding me like the plague I already paid him for a windshield like a year ago that he got me, I tinted it and he took it back to put in his storage. well I called him and said hey I need that windshield now..."oh I broke it"....****, whatever well just get me another one. Mind you I've been trying to get ahold of him for a month at this point. He finally dropped me a new one off yesterday and goes well just tint this and let me know when you're ready to put it in. I told him throw it in now it makes no difference to me tinting it in or out of the car. So he said he would be back today because he was too busy yesterday. So I tinted it last night anyways and called him this morning, shot him a txt in the afternoon and called him again leaving a message saying "hey I wanna go racing this weekend and I have shit to do, are you still coming today" at 5:00 he sends me a text "if you would have called yesterday yea....tomorrow"

Wait so what ****ing part of our verbal conversation yesterday did you not understand? If he doesn't show tomorrow I'm going to call another glass shop and pay to have it installed and tell him to eat poop....
