  • As seen on the street - Firebird Trans Am Comp T/A

    Don't know much about these cars, other than they supposedly were built by SLP in recognition of an anniversary of the BFGoodrich Comp T/A tire. A little ragged, but it sure sounded good as it pulled out!

    Very uncommon car. Glad to see that someone is driving it though. Good spot!

      dave from slp has one of those cars, its not ragged though, won 1st place in his class at autorama. his is all stock from exhaust to wheels and all, still has the factory tires on the side it came with.

              Rare car there...mostly an appearance package although an upgraded suspension was available...

              72 Comp T/As made in '95.

              45 in '96.

              47 in '97.

              Only 164 total made.

                  Yup there's one here in Jackson guys pretty cool I actually almost baut it but he got it first they are more rare than a firehawk sum were LT4 cars SLP did make them there's some on the firehawk website and there's all the info about them as well. I found that my firehawk is one of 4 Hell I had no idea and they already had my car registered on the site they are on it there .

                    FWIW -- I found out that this car is owned by a member of another F-Body group. Turns out that we are both going in for physical therapy at the same place; I snapped those pics in the parking lot as I was leaving one day.

                    I know I've worn my MiFBody T-shirts to PT several times before, but today was the first time I saw him wear his club shirt. Most folks in PT are pretty collegial, but he's never seemed very friendly towards me. Maybe this finally explains why?
