Are you sure its full of fluid? If you rev it will it try to move at all?

Won't move whatsoever. Like I said - all I have is park and a bunch of neutrals...

My dipstick says I'm full. Out of curiousity, how many quarts does this thing take?

Well that depends.... Just talked to my Transmission guy and he said About 8.5 quarts 9.5" torque converter or 11.5 quarts 12" torque converter. Deep pan versions require as much as 14 quarts. Length and volume of the cooling circuit will vary and will require an additional amount.

the car needs to sit on level ground for a few hours until you can properly measure off the dipstick.

Well thats one problem... as you can see in the first page I'm not on level ground. The driveway is at an incline. So maybe it's a fluid issue. It'd be nice if it were that simple but knowing my luck....

Congrats you got it fixed Grant. You may feel dumb, but look at the bright side -- it's an easy fix. Closing the thread per Grant's request.
