It's not any harder as far as I can tell. My tranny jack is pretty nice, the table pivots and has lips that keep it from slidding so it's not so bad.
Starter and flex plate messed up and took a couple of teeth out of both. Flex plate needed to be replaced. Thats the new on in the 3rd pic next to the tranny.sigpic

Looks like fun Grant. So while you were swimming intranny fluid we were floating in sweat. 95 and very humid at meet & greet, but no rain. Sure wish you could make it out here some year.sigpic

I will one year. Probably not with a camaro but I'll grace you with my presence at some point.Originally posted by Plum Nuts View PostLooks like fun Grant. -Side note: My tranny jack broke. Won't go up and down anymore. So yah.... had to fabricate a tranny craddle for my standard floor jack out of some scrape plywood pieces... I'm taking a break cause I really don't want to look at the car at the moment.sigpic

Well it's back in. Not easy using a floor jack but it's in. My wife got down and under the car with me to do it too. Never knew what a turn on having your girl get greasey and oily working on a car is. I love that I married a car chick. Jacked it up, she pushed, and I guided the bell housing onto the dowel pins. Reached up and got the first two bolts in. Bolted up the cross-member, took the jack down and called it a day. Now it's just a matter of buttoning up everything else.
Sad thing is a have completely lost my desire to work on this damn car anymore. All this was on Tuesday. It's Thursday now and I just haven't wanted to go out there and finish. It sucks because I hate having to drive my wife's car to work but I just don't have any want to be around the camaro anymore. It will get done... probably this weekend, but I'm just so over it. *sighs*sigpic

Oh and an ironic side note, an old friend of mine that I really haven't talked to in a while texted me yesterday saying she was in the same boat - her camaro was in the shop and just learned that they were going to have to drop her tranny.sigpic

Ok, for the most part it's done (minus the driveshaft and the top two bolts to the bellhousing). Those will get done after dinner. Here's some pics in case you wanted to see them.

Ok driveshaft is in..... "we are everybody!" anyway, i also got one of the two bellhousing bolts in. The driver side one is a tad tough. Just cant reach it. If only my finger was a inch longer ... That would also make mywife happier lol. Ok i have clearly lost my mind now.... As if i ever had it. Im done for the night. Ima curl up on the couch with a four horsemen on the rocks, watch a little american pickers, and f the h out of my wife.... Provideing the afore mentioned four horsemen doesnt knock me on my ass first.sigpic

So I finished up bolting the tranny in. Thats done. Fire the car up and started right up so thats the good news. Unfortunatly now it's poping the engine sensor fuse and throwing a P0100 code --- MAF issue. So now I have to track down the wiring and see it is grounding out somewhere. Probably means Im going to need a new MAF... God I hate this car.sigpic

Wires, wires, everywhere wires! I have the entire wireing harness removed from the engine trying to look for split wires and exposed copper... not fun. I did fine a few wires chared and melted by the passneger side header so maybe thats the issue. Alas, I'll get this figured out eventually.sigpic
