The Problem with Corvette's are their owners most of the time. Therefore I am not a fan......

THE best Corvette site I've found is:

          http://forums.corvetteforum.com/

The amount of information here is staggering.

I attended a two day carb and timing seminar this weekend with "some guy" named Lars, where I learned more in 2 days than in the last 20 years.

          Some pics (I hope):

I agree...way too many of them are pricks.

Find some of the guys that own the older ones...they're more-or-less normal.

Yeah, I have a friend who's parents own 2 vette's and they are heavy into the lansing corvette club (capital city corvette club I think) the last 5 years. They own a 2003 50th anniversary and a 1999 C5. I saw them at my parents friday night and they had one of them there. You try talking cars with him and its all vette and their club friends, I bring up anything about my car or you guys or any other car and they turn the conversation right back to vette's. They get all high and mighty about it. So after friday night I've said screw it when I see them, I'll just say hi and keep it to small talk.

youd be a prick too if you just spent all that money on a high end sports car then found out you could have gotten one for a 3rd the price with some mods and beaten it...

LOL, good point, I would be pissed off. Not to mention, when they go on long trips with them, they have to do laundry at the hotel every couple days cause their just isn't enough room in the car for much luggage!!! LOL, I like my family sports car.

People that buy newer Corvettes don't really care about racing.

They want performance with a warranty.

The guys you have to worry about are the guys that want to make a FAST Corvette.

Making a kill out of a baby boomer nursing his "dream" along the road is like beating up on a Prelude. Congrats, you beat up on an old man.

One of the cars at this seminar was a ragged out (externally), brown, '75 Corvette with a heavily modded 502 (509?) backed with a Richmond 5 speed and a 4 link rear.

Owner claimed he had less than $30K into the car total and would run high 10s on street tires (no BFG drags...would implode the IRS)....didn't care what it looked like as long as it was fast.

                    Only have one motor pic:

I call mine a sport utility firechicken! I can fit as much into the rear of my bird as I can into Jen's Jimmy!!! I love my car. On top of that have you ever taken the top off a corvette? The targa top has to be bolted on!!! It took like 20 minutes to get the top back on the vette today. I had the tops on my bird done in 30 secs and 20 of that was standing back admiring my work!

I sure love the curves of the '72 Stingray especially in blue like the one below...

P.S. If anyone runs across a good deal on one keep me in mind Please!

Here are some pics from the Lenawee County Fair parade!

The pic before the rustang was from in my car. MY CAR MADE IT INTO THE PARADE! I wasn't trying to get into it. I actually drove all the way down the street to get behind it so I could meet Jim and Jen at the Fairgrounds for lunch. Anyway I followed the parade for a while and then a whole leg of the parade came up behind me. LOL! What luck eh? I got a bunch of people saying nice car to me! I think it may have been because I was stuck behind derby cars LOL! You guys don't know how freaked out I was. I had a police/swat tank behind me plus two squad cars! Anytime they turned their sirens on I was ducking and checking my mirrors! Some guy from the sidelines was like "your in trouble now the cops have their lights on!" I was like "its a red sports car, whats not to like"

ya stingrays are probably one of my favorite vetts... specially with a nice L88 hood on it very hott and the nice thing is they are dropping in price..i would have gotten one but the wife flipped when she saw only two seats and i told here i would bolt a car seat for my son... she didnt think it was funny but the strap it to the luggage rack with bungee cord comment i think really killed my chances of getting one for a while..lol

I agree, most vette owners think that they have a superior car.
Why have a car with all that power if you aren't going to drive it like you stole it
