First one looks like a GM product, and the real c7 will probably look similar to that. The second one looks like a GT40 or a ferari or something,

I agree with Peter - the Stingray concept is gorgeous... here's some pics when I saw it at the Transformers 2 premiere (huge thanks to John Fitzpatrick!)

Apparently I only ever posted one picture and I can't find any of the pics in my picture folder.

It surprises me that a lot of people don't like the C7 concept, I think it looks amazing. It definitely has a shouty exterior, perhaps too much so for production, but still very beautiful indeed. To each their own though.

That was a great pic Brian!

Oh and by the way, you lucky bastard!

Its very pretty but its just wayyyyy too busy for the name Corvette.

I think we will see a very subtle upgrade to the C6. Split window, some side exhaust, big wheels, etc.

Honestly, I care more about the next generation of V8. I doubt it will be LS based but hopefully something new thats direct injected and around 5.3L.

I would like to see the car rev to the moon( like 9k). Even with all that, can the C6 really be beat? A nicer interior doesnt do it for everyone.

IMHO if they just took the Stingray concept's nose and tail and made it more like the C6 but left the curves the Stingray has in the hood, the scoops in the side, and the very low profile/swept look from the roofline to the rear I think it'd be sweet...

I'll throw my thoughts out there on this post, because it really did make me pause and consider...

              Agreed...Corvettes have never been "busy"...elegant and streamlined...yes...

The split window adds too much cost (unless they can somehow make the glass symmetrical...good luck)...keep in mind that base MSRP needs to be $50K...side exhaust is illegal in some states...big wheels = given.

It will likely be direct injected, but don't expect a decrease in power or torque...we've seen it in the Mustang/Camaro as well as the full size trucks...displacement will be a very distant 19th choice compared to other needs like power, torque, gas mileage, torque curve or 14 other options...if it takes a LS to get it done, that is what they'll use...

Here is where I disagree...I don't want a Honda S2000...I want a nice condensed torque curve that runs to 7000 rpm...if you need a stock street car to rev to 9K, it's because you can't make power.

Give me a new and improved LS...it ain't broke, don't fix it...I have zero desire to see max torque at 5000 or 6000 rpm...

And, yes, the C6 can be beat...how?

Give me more of the same, with more power and better gas mileage...I agree with what you stated above...it will be an agressive evolutionary upgrade to the C6...not revolutionary.

An AWD option wouldn't surprise me...to see the Z06 be squarely targeted at the Nissan GT-R wouldn't surprise me...to see the ZR1 be targeted at the big Ferraris or Lambos wouldn't surprise me, for half the price...

Also, a delay in production wouldn't surprise me, as GM is not going to rush THIS one into service...it has to be better than it's predesessor...in the mean time, they'll just happily churn out C6s until they get it right...

The next engine is supposed to be a 5.5L based on the LS series. A LS5 if I remember correctly

GM will definitely have to make sure they spend time to get the C7 right. As was stated above, the C6 is a VERY high quality 'Vette and I would imagine they want to take advantage of the success of the C6 before they take the inevitable risks of replacing it.
