  • C7 Corvette: Possible candidates

Found this video of the Corvette concepts. In this first video, I think we've all seen pictures of the sharkish looking Stingray concept, but make sure to see what the 2nd candidate looks like!

I think anything that they do will not impress me. I just love the C6 that much.

      Good luck GM.

I like 'em both - if I could afford them I'd probably buy the 1st one. 2nd one looks a little too much like a C3 with awkward proportions.

From what it looks like, only the 1st one is truly from GM. The second one has an additional video on youtube that gives an individual as credit for the design.

Ahh, thanks for pointing that out Brian. I wasn't aware of that. I still like 'em both!

Just goes to show how much anyone really knows - I know someone that has seen a C7 and said it's similar to the stingray.

First is ugly, the second is pretty nice looking. Looks liked a mixture of the split window vette and then a C4 or something.

Both of them just make go "meh"...

The first one is purely a concept...so many things there that are completely non-functional or even illegal under current guidelines.

If you like the second one, you an build a C3 that will outrun and outcorner almost anything out there for less than a $60K total investment...

                        So...meh...

I hope you have 1 and 2 mixed up here...the second and third renderings look like stupid adaptations of C3s. The Stingray concept is absolutely stunning in person (I've seen it). That being said, I don't think the C7 looks entirely similar to any of them. When the interns went into the conference room by the GM Performance Design studio with Tom Stephens, I had only about 5 seconds to actually see the new Z28 and the C7, but I didn't really catch the C7 as much as the Camaro.

Any idea if the C7 is going to be shown at the NAIAS within the next few years? If not next month?

It will be hard for GM to top the C6 IMO
