When the rear end's loose, the car's fast. Loose is fast, and on the edge you're out of control.

1989 Buick LeSabre- Old lady died down the road and we bought it from her estate in 2000 it only had ~60k on it (currently my winter beater)

1995 Dodge Avenger- Parents bought it from my now sister in law, mother drove it for a few weeks decided she wanted the buick so i traded her. First decent car i ever had. 2.5L v6 that i thought was quick. Put a drop in k&n and a flowmaster muffler in it and i thought i gained 20 hp It wasnt the best car ever but it was one of the best conditioned avengers i have ever seen.

1992 Dodge Stealth R/T TT- Sadly it got too expensive to maintain. Bought it for 4300 with 92k on the clock and sold it 3 years later for 6k with 135k even after the expensive mods where taken out and sold I miss this car

2000 Chevy Camaro Z28- Picked it up with 36k and have put less than 20k miles on it in the 3 years i have owned it. Still pretty slow, hopefully should dyno at ~380-400 rwhp through a 3600 rpm stall

      2000 Z28 - Cammed/Stalled/Intake - Collision With a Tree Mod - Totaled
2005 Grand Prix GXP - Sold
      2000 SS - Sold
2011 Ford Taurus limited - Time for a practical car for a bit

yeah that scottsdale was hard to see go. But me being a junior in HS and it getting about 8-9 mpg there would have been no way to afford it.

Boy, some of you go through a lot of cars...

I will contribute a list of the ones that I've had, although digital photos only exist of the '81 and '89...

                      First car...'78 Trans Am...Martinique Blue...W72 400...auto...3.23 rear...power steering, power brakes...manual everything else...standard blue vinyl interior...purchased with 70+K miles in 1986 for $3000.

Sold in 1988 for $1800 with 90+K miles...never should have gotten rid of it...

Purchased a '80 Trans Am...Red...4.9L 301...auto...3.23 rear...T-tops...power everything...red velour interior...purchased with 50+K miles in 1988 for $3500...biggest POS I have ever owned...and, of the three Trans Ams we've had, this is the only one where the T-tops leaked...

Sold in 1990 for $2000 with 70+K miles.

Purchased the '81 with 59+K miles in 1990 for $3500...all stock, all original...

Was given a '81 Honda Civic for free the same year...free...4-speed car...completely rusted to hell...but it did have a power sunroof, but the heater didn't work...made winters interesting...actually made money on this one, as there was a good $4 in change scattered throughout the car......blew one of the CV joints out and gave the title to the towing company in 1989 to take it off my hands.

Purchased a '81 Pontiac Phoenix with 50+K miles for $400...pretty much as loaded as a Phoenix could get...but was driving from Lansing to Grand Rapids every day for work...it faded fast...they gave me $500 trade in for...

My first new car...a '91 Geo Metro Convertible...yes, I was still driving from Lansing to GR (or Zeeland) every day...mint green and a 5-speed...but 50+ mpg on the highway...

Traded that in on a '94 Toyota Celica...5-speed...amazingly reliable car...only thing I ever needed to do was change gas, oil and tires...changed the spark plugs after driving it 40K miles (80K+ total) because it seemed like the thing to do...and then came the string of leases.

1999 Z71 Chevy 1500...I despised this truck with a passion...it hated me, and I hated it...could not get rid of it fast enough...

                      2001 Grand Prix GTP.

                      2003 Grand Prix GTP.

2005 Grand Prix GTP Comp G...best performing front wheel drive car I've ever been in...

Now the path must diverge for a moment, as my darling wife let me purchase a 1968 Corvette covertible...purchase price was $10K, but we almost immediately put another $9K into restoration and upkeep...only two options...the 327-350 hp small block, and the M21 close ratio 4-speed...LeMans Blue...black top, black standard vinyl interior...manual steering, manual brakes...manual everything...enjoyed it for two years...until somebody offered me a straight up trade for the '89 Festival Car...

And I have not missed that Corvette one single day...
