I read a guide for Hooker supercomps longtubes.

The guy said you had to notch the K member where the A Arm mounts, buy a new ministarter, and a whole buncha other BS so I was like eff that.

I WAS refering to the newer 4th gens as a hard mofo to work on.. u put any 350 (minus the new engine bays) and any 302 and they are both CAKE to work on..

I dont like the newer engine bays to hard and cramped to work on. HOWEVER I will and can do it no problem I have in the past and I prolly will in the future

It's really not as bad as everyone "says". True a clockable ministarter is required, some minor clearancing is also required, oh and you might have to dent a primary or two. The worst thing in my opinion is the loss of ground clearance. WTH can't any company out there make a decent set of 1 3/4 primary long tubes that have better ground clearance???

its called a torch your bare hands and bending very slowly..lol dont want to throw out an expensive set of headers... i did it in a datson 280z with a sbc just heat it up cherry red and apply pressure slowly... took about 2 hours to do but gave us an extra 6 inches of clearance once you get it tight to the body...
