        Not really - unless they take off in a hurry. There's been a few times that they take off in a rush and hit the throttle enough that it gets kinda loud but we've only heard a sonic boom once.

          That's odd - Selfridge doesn't have any supersonic planes anymore. The A10s are quiet.

          Transport planes and the big choppers - now those are loud.

            Hmmm - maybe it wasn't a sonic boom then? It was one of our first weeks in the house and Angie was in bed, I was in the other room and something outside did a loud boom to the point that the windows shook. I assumed it was a sonic boom but then again I've never really experienced a sonic boom before.

              They (as in fighter pilots) are technically not supposed to go supersonic over populations.
