Day at the Race Track pictures

Well a friend of mine called me up late Saturday night and said he had some VIP passes to the NASCAR Race at MIS on Sunday with Pit passes and everything else (food, drinks, etc..).
How could I pass this up.
I have to admit that ever since they started letting Toyota's run in NASCAR that I quit watching it, but I would have been a fool to pass up this offer.
So I took a few pictures and I thought I would share them.

Cool pictures. Those Warthogs came from Selfridge - heard them this morning around 8-9am when they took off. I <3 being a mile north of Selfridge's runway.

I didn't know that I could take my car out on the track, but there were a handful of classic cars that cruised the track.

Well I can agree with that these days! Back in the 70's 80's and 90's I was a huge fan.
Those were the days of Stock Car Racing.
These are the names I remember well. Bill Elliot, Richard Petty, Dale Earnhart, Darrell Waltrip ,Bobby Allison, Junior Johnson, Ned Jarrett, Buddy Baker, Cale Yarborough, David Pearson, Benny Parsons, Terry Labonte, Ricky Rudd, Harry Gant, Ken Schrader, Rusty Wallace.

My brother dislikes them - well, in comparison to the F16s - those were much cooler to have fly around

Looks like fun.

I really miss going to the June and August cup races. Did that for like 8 years.
