Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
I FINALLY got my Gumball Rally DVD in the mail today. I can't wait to watch it tonight!

Dude...shut the curtains, turn off the lights, and crank the surround sound...you will not be disappointed...
And remember that all the cars in that movie are the real deal...no replicas there...none...
EDIT: FWIW, the "plumber's van" and the "fake cops" were both real and documented entries in the original Cannonball Runs as documented by Brock Yates in his book...
I WANT NOISE! SPEED! AN ENGINE THAT SHAKES MY INTERNAL ORGANS LIKE THEY GOT PARKINSON'S! I DONT WANT AN ENGINE THAT IS PARTIALLY POWERED BY MY LAPTOP BATTERY!

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.

I watched the movie the other night, and what a bunch of great cars!
The 365 Daytona was never one of my favorite Ferrari's, but for some reason I liked it when I saw it in the movie. Plus, it sounded amazing!! The Daytona/Cobra race in the canal was epic!

The red & black cars are PANTERA's. Italian built sports cars w/ mid-engine 351c. Very fast. Worked on one for Terry Hanks (owner of Sundance Chevrolet) back when I worked at a Ford dealership.
It turns out he is right! My dad emailed the people at Roush about those cars (the 2 pictures seen at the beginning of the thread.) They responded, and it turns out they are called GN34 Prototypes, using Pantera bodies that were changed up. It was supposed to be Ford's answer to the Corvette.

This article says Pantera influenced. I wonder how they would have fared had Ford actually built these. Styling need to be upped some, these cars are not exactly great looking. Roush owns both surviving prototypes (the ones in the pics.) Cool story.
