Thanks for sharing! I love military planes, especially the warbirds. My Dad was a P-51 mechanic on a ground crew in WWII. I didn't know there was a flying condition B-24 still around cool!

That would really be a neat job to be able to work on those P-51 planes. Those planes were amazing. They had the Horseman P-51 Mustang Aerobatic team there and they put on a great show! That B-24 is really a neat looking plane. They also had a B-22 there too! They also had a F-100, F/A-18F Super Hornet and F-16C Viper that did some amazing flying stunts.
The show is still going on today if anyone is interested in going.

I can remember seeing Fifi and Diamond Lil a few years ago in Oshkosh. It was way cool to see a flying condition B-29 and B-24 swoop in together and then take a tour inside!

Thank you for sharing the pictures! Angie and I were really bummed when we realized the air show flips flops between Willow Run and Selfridge every year. We thought Selfrdige had an air show every year so we were really excited moving into our new house a mile north of the air strip hoping we'd see the planes flying over the house. Thanks again for sharing the pics! Hopefully next year I'll be able to return the favor.

You will - my brother gets them all the time.

Cool pictures, can't wait for Selfridge's next year.

Thank you for sharing the pictures Rick! I was there too, and I got some great footage. I'll try and create a video for that.

I was, however, disappointed that they didn't have the Blue Angels there this year. They put on a great show. I was impressed by the maneuverability of the F-18 though. Very tight turns!

I thought the Heritage flight was a cool idea - having the F-16 fly with 2 P-51 Mustangs.

I'll put up the video when I get it done.

They had that two Selfridge shows ago - except it was one on one. Gave me goosebumps, it was so awesome.

I went to the Selfridge show a lot when I was a kid, and I actually saw a plane crash there. This was probably back in '94, it was very sad.

Hmm, I must've not been there that day, I've gone every time it's been there.
