So what if you can't keep up with them? Lol. From what I've seen, most of the cars on here couldn't keep up with me, should they hate me too?

You have to understand, this is the MOTOR CITY and we have all grown up with the BIG 3 and nothing else. Almost everyone has a family member that worked for 1 or more (my dad 44+ years at GM) and this is the last bastion of brand loyality in the country. Do not take it personal but it is in our blood from birth.

Impossible to say why individual people like what they like. I can appreciate what Supra's are and what they can do, but I can also appreciate MoPars, Fords and even Rolls-Royces. Doesn't mean I'll ever want to own any of them.

You have to admit, though, if you're looking for respect for the Supra, you're starting out behind the 8-ball by looking for it at a website called Michigan F-Body Association!

Don't let it discourage you from posting your pics though, as some of us really like the photography and enjoy the view of the NM scene!

Couldn't have said it better myself. I'm a domestic fanboy through and through. My mom has almost always worked for ad agencies who have GM has their client, grandparents worked for Chrysler, uncles worked for suppliers/engineering firms/etc.

Honestly for me - the biggest thing is that it's made by Toyota, the antichrist of car companies, and I just don't really like the looks of it.

I'd buy a supra, rip that POS 2JZ () out and throw an LS-series in there, just to piss everyone off.

You guys crack me up. I guess I just don't really get the mentality of all this brand loyalty stuff. But I can see where you guys are coming from.

I'm loyal to the big 3 because of where the money goes.. but these days...who know where they are made... hell my brother owns an aveo... and its made in korea. Good little car, but it does not really represent chevy very well.. And the supra..well no i wouldn't own one because the cost of ownership.. that and my family would beat me up... lol but... i am more of an enthusiast. I don't hate fords or Chrysler, or any of the imports... they all make good and bad cars.. i am still loyal to Gm... but i appreciate the competition... after all... if ford would have never built the mustang... then why build a camaro right?

Guess you'd have to live here for awhile to understand it. When you realize how much stuff the big 3 has done for America - and continues to do for America, even with sending many jobs overseas - it makes it easier to be domestically loyal. We eat, breathe, sleep, and drink the domestic kool aid because it's our state's bread and butter.

For example - did y'all realize that in 1942, General Motors converted 100% of it's production to the war effort and produced $12,300,000,000 worth of products to help our country fight the war?
