  • Saw a Ferrari 250 California, among other VERY rare cars

I couldn't believe what I was seeing! Some of these cars have got to be worth millions! This was at the RM auction building in Ypsilanti.

Here is a Kaiser Darrin, one of 435 built. I think this might be a special edition convertible, one of 2 or 3 built:

Here is a Ferrari 250 Lusso Speciale, coachwork done by Bertone:

Ferrari 250 California spyder (one of 125 built):

Lamborghini Diablo SVR (one of about 50 built:

An antique Aston Martin, not sure which model:

meh Im not really into antiques or rare cars like that. But they do look like just rolled off the line! Very good condition. The lambo looks like a car someone made in Midnight Club LA

        Very nice.

        I think that's an Aston Martin DB2...circa 1950...

And gotta love how the black Ferrari 250 is parked next to a mid-80s Dodge Horizon with what appears to be a window sticker in it...

I was just going to say the same thing - only I never give those cars the benefit of being called something special. "Why is there a Neon in the pack?"

The paint was nice, but the vinyls are horrendous! I wanted to throw up looking at the designs on it.

This is RM auctions, which features lots of different cars, including rare collectibles and practical, affordable cars. It's not just a classic car room. But I'm with you, it's pretty damn funny to see a Dodge neon parked next to a car that's probably worth several million dollars!

I think you're right, I was looking that up earlier and the DB2 was what looked closest to it, but I'm not 100% on that.

This place is in Ypsilanti, about 1 mile north of the Tap Room.

Here is the address: Five West Forest Avenue, Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197

They are having an auction coming up on April 24-25 in Novi at the Rock Financial (I posted a meetup for this) if interested. There is going to be a LOT of amazing cars there!

Just stopped there again today. I created a video of some of the cars. Get this - the wooden car you see at the end (Lagonda Rapide), that's the only one ever built. Amazing!

Some of the other cars were built in the few hundreds, some others less than that.
