The pictures are always nice sized as long as you're linking to pictures that are hosted somewhere else. Pictures that are attachments on MiFbody's server show up as thumbnails but you just click on the picture and then it blows the picture up to full size.- Brian Meissen

I changed the hues, sharpness, edges, temp, tint, black point, brightness, saturation, and vibrancy. I can balance it more to real life if you all would like to see what it "should" look like. But to be honest, why even take a nice photo of it and leave it to "what it is" standards?
If anyone is wondering where I'm coming from I was originally an illustrator / painter. Now, however, I'm majoring in graphic design and knowing how to use a camera is a huge part in my work. I love contrast and in tradition photo black and white I would develop them with so much contrast my teacher would throw a fit. I didn't care though, they were my photos, not his, something that gets lost in art education is student individuality. When I switched to color digital I love making the shadows and dark spots DARK and I love changing the saturation and vibrancy to make it look normal-ish but there is just something not right, which Formula caught right away.
Thanks for the nice words. The next step with these photos is to make my favorites into huge posters! Which is something I'm thinking about offering over the summer to fellow car enthusiast for a fair price.

I don't remember, but I would be more than happy to take some photos of your car. As I said, I can even print them up poster size! like.... 44" x XLength"Originally posted by 97BlackBird View PostNice pics Mark. Did you take these after we went cruising?? If so I wish you woulda told me so I could be in on it lol. Either car still looks good
I took my side molding off, but I'm having trouble getting rid of the black outline *sigh*

This is a style a lot of people refer to as faux HDR photography. A lot of DSLRs will allow for High Dynamic Range shooting (3 different shots taken at 1 time then combined in layers. A lot of guys who want to acheive the same effect in photoshop will do similiar adjustments. The pictures are good no doubt. IMO the angles of the car are great, the way they work with the surroundings makes me dizzy. It almost looks like the building is leaning while the car is perfectly straight. Sometimes camera lenses will lend this effect by default. I think that is the thing that stands out the most to me.Originally posted by 93formulalt1 View PostIs it just me, or do the color balances look a little "off" to anyone else? Grass looks too green, car looks too red, just looks almost underexposed to me. Brightness levels too low, contrast too high, something along those lines. I'm no professional photographer, but for some reason these pics look a little off to me.
Don't get me wrong, the location is great, angles are great, you took great pictures, I'm just thinking that somewhere between the camera and the computer, the color balance was messed up. I'm going to play around with the last photo and see if I can't figure something out to make it look a little better. . .
It could just be my eyes, though, or my computer.

I didn't work in layers with this photo though. I do bracket my images to get the best exposure. It was just a bunch of level adjustments to get the crazy color. You are right about the building though, the lens was pushed to 18mm which is considered a wide angle shot, however, it's not a true wide angle (fish eye lens) but it does distort images due to the lens curve. I do really want a wide angle lens though. I probably will pick one up in the fall, or maybe I can find one cheap on E-bay to bring with me at the meet n greet. I am planning on bringing my camera to take pics of as many cars as I can.
