Well some of you know that I posted a 4 sale add for some 4th gen camaro parts.
it was MORE then overwhelming and My brother in law Bryan decided to keep the car and fix it up.
For those that don't know, it's a 1998 Camaro Z28 with the added RS ground effects.
I was told they were added on and not factor?? I have no clue.
I thought it was a Z28 with the RS package, maybe it came that way maybe it didn't

We are painting the "Camaro" in the front the same color as the stripe. So it does not look so plain. I told him to paint the mirrors and paint the black Camaro insert in the front white. That's what most people get done with their cars and I think it looks good.

So a little more work on it and it will be good to sell.
Just thought some of you would have liked to see the progress of it. I know some people actually know the past owner of the car.

LOL...and I don't know how you guys do it....but its a pain in the ass to drive in the snow!!

Yeah it was. They had to do a cut on it. Take the good off one car and put it on this one.
I should get some under the hood pics, you can't even tell it was smashed.

Yeah I was shocked myself to see them working on it. I figured it would be done by Spring.
But they worked on it a little at a time, and got it 95% done. They got a deal on a front cut with the wire harness from a salvage yard in Detroit. So that helped a lot finding a camaro that was not hit in the front drivers side.
So it's a little ahead of schedule lol!
LOL..if he doesn't sell it we might bring it to the meet n greet.

Looks good but I would've left the mirrors black and maybe not have redone that stripe. It's amazing how you can't even tell it was smashed from those pics. Where was the other car welded in - was it the entire front half that was welded to the back half or was it just part of the front?

Yeah they didn't paint the rear half of the car, so they matched up the paint from the stripe and painted it on. We wanted something different.
Nothing wrong with a solid white camaro, but we just wanted to be different. If you have the ability to be different, most people would want to stand out.
They replaced the whole front driver side (just that corner piece). They separated the body seams (like spot welds), then put the new piece in it's place, re-welded it, grinded it down, bondo, prime, and painted it. Wanted to make it look as much like factory as they could. I'll take some pics under the hood tonight so you can see.

Looks great, thought it's not my style I still appreciate all the hard work and time that went into it.
