The few minor things were fixed by the dealer and those problems are long gone now. The car was a very early production car so it was expected. But nothing major at all.

I agree with Larry on the 2nd gear starts. Hell, this thing has so much torque you could probably start up in 4th

You will get used to the visibility within a few days. It really is not a problem.

And I second the motion for snow tires and wheels also! Your best bet on wheels is either the steelies that come on the LS, or the polished aluminum 20" ones.

        Thanks Again!

Thanks for all the info! Okay- the wheels and tires sound like a great idea- have you actually done this-anybody? What kind of money did you spend?

As far as the higher gear starts: yes, we'd already thought of that. Believe it or not we both can easily start both the Hawk and the 409 from 4th.

A much easier way to learn to drive a stick in the first place is to get the car in every gear (yes, every gear) without the gas pedal. When you can do it ten times in row; managing the clutch is no problem. I've taught many people (including Sue and Neal) to drive a stick this way in ten minutes.

I'm going to look into tires and wheels right now.

        Thanks again!!

Will check your link & Thanks

Hey There, I will check out the link to Camaro5.com right away. Yes, I can get the steel wheels from the LS model, but then I'll have to have the speedometer adjusted each time I change wheels won't I? The steelies are 18". The 2SS/RS comes with 20"s.

As the far as the pick-up- Thanks again! I feel very fortunate that things have gone the way they have. I really had proceeded in a very nonchalant manner, and did not know that the Aqua Blue Metallic was being discontinued. I'm actually having trouble deciding now between white stripes and silver stripes and I'm hoping they can arrange for me to see them in person before they actually apply them this Wednesday. I know it will look great either way.

I've found good snow tires, now to find decent/not expensive plain wheels.

                Thanks again!,

                    I do like Silver, but...

Yeah, I do like Silver alot. I've seem them on black Cams, and on Red too, but I've only actually seen one other Aqua car, and that didn't have any stripes on it.

My initial thought was White with no doubts, but as Sue and I have talked more I'm definitely thinking about Silver.

Hey- If you have a moment I'd like your thoughts about what I've asked about on the "Storage" thread.

                    Thanks again!

The concern, as far as your speedometer is concerned, is the tire diameter, not the wheel size. If your snow tires have the same outside diameter as your factory 20's, your speedo will still be spot on.
