  • Scarlett Axle Swap :woot:

Just thought I would share the news! After 3+ years of dragging this out finally...

Old nasty non-posi V6 rear is gone!

Shiny painted V8 Posi rear ready to go!!!

I will be using the meantime to rust-proof and paint the bottom of the car. Also I may be using my Craftsman powder coater again for some of the small parts going back on. I will post up pics of the painted rear when I can get them off my computer at home. (It looks awesome btw and the powder coat system from craftsman is awesome!)

sweet. I did the same thing to my old sixer. What gears did you end up going with? I put some 3.73s in mine and loved it. Whenever this rear end goes out in the current TA I'll be putting some 3.73s in again.

Just an FYI... took me longer than I planned but the rear axle is in an lookin good. Got the job done just in time to drop the car off at the storage location. Oh well, it turned out nice at least, I'll just have to enjoy it next year...
