  • Cavalier Continental?

So for all of you that aren't familiar with the "continental kit", it was basically a styling feature on cars of the late 50s era. It added a "diving dock" like panel to the pear of the car among other things. Some of you guys may be able to elaborate on which cars could have this option and what year and what not, but here is a picture.

Well I just saw this in the Lawrence Tech parking lot... I didn't know that they started making the kit for Cavaliers!

Eh, that's just a sagging body kit...the "Continental" kit moved the tire outside of the trunk to make more space...not that a small family of illegals couldn't turn the trunk of an 58 Impala into a 3 room ranch anyway, but I digress...

Factory kits are somewhat limited to Caddys and Thunderbirds (I say somewhat...depends on the year), but dealer install kits were available for many, many cars in the 50s through the mid-60s...

Good info, but I must stress to you Jeff, this was not only a sagging body kit, it was a flat surface that projected probably a solid 8-10" Hahaha

Oh it's bad Dan... very mustang heavy and lots of fart cans. Do all you engineers think they make your cars faster? Haha. All of us Archies have pretty tame vehicles...

Damn, They should tow a trailer with a plasma on it - and you can use the body kit as a bench.

As far as fart cans go, for the life of me, I never understood why people wanted their cars to sound like mopeds.
