I've worked in the auto field since 1993,and this post pisses me off!!!
That is exactly why I will never loan out a car,The cars that dealerships loan out will someday end up on the use car side and it sucks when you try and sell them but some idiot beat the shit out of it cuz it's doesn't belong to them. Your warranty made sure you had a way to work while your car got worked on and that's how you thank them? Dude,to me that's weak! This is why warrantys cost so damn much.
If it's so cool to do and not a big deal, then where's the video of you kicking the shit out of your own car

          It was just a burnout....

I understand if he was totally f*kin up the car but damn.

Its kinda like the not eat meat to save animals, they are still gunna get killed and eated either way. Same with rentals, people will still beat the shit out of them. Im not saying its wrong or right, but it happens.

Your right, people still beat up rentals. So what you are saying is that if it's not your car then who cares. What if you let a friend drive your car and they just do burnouts. Your not gonna be worried about what that would do to your car? Burnouts are still hard on a car, they wreck the tires, burn thru the brake pads and can rubber and road can chip the paint. But I guess that's no big deal. I bet you wouldn't buy your next car if you knew everybody that got in it was "just doing burnouts"

#1 reason why many dealers have done away with loaner car programs. Making it a lot harder for the guy who really needs a car to commute 30 miles to work, while his car is being serviced. Excessive wear and tear on Rental/loaner cars causes dealers big money which in affect costs us all money in raised prices for work and parts. Can't say as if I'm impressed.

I always baby rental cars, primarily because $0 is so expensive and usually doubles the price.

Of course, with my luck I'm the one that gets charged anyways, even though I don't rough around. I drove a C220 wagon 1800 miles across Europe, and I got a 2 inch scratch on the side of the bumper...which was good for 720 Euros....Luckily the CDW on my credit card covered most of it.

But of course, the people that beat on cars and brag about it don't get caught
