  • Lingenfelter Collection pics

I had the opportunity of a lifetime to view the Lingenfelter Collection last week, and what a collection it is. Everything from a little more than a daily driver, to exotics, to rare one offs.

A Big Thanks to Dave (dj'sw6s) for inviting us to this private showing. I had a great time, and took way more pics than my camera battery wanted too.

Below are a few of my favorites............................

1st is the 1998 "Gold Rush" Trans Am. This car was a engineering evaluation car before being modified for the 1999 SEMA show. In a combined effort with Mr. Gasket, Hurst, and GM they modded the car to show what could be done with the LS1 cars. The car sold this year at Barret-Jackson during the GM Heritage Collection sell-off.......it was sold with a scrap title.

    2nd is a 1997 Hurst/Lingenfelter Firebird.........1 of only 9 built.

3rd is the car I was in love w/ during high school. A 1989 Ferrari F-40!!

Last but not least, no collection would be complete without some variation of the famed Buick Turbo V6..........so here's a 1 of 547 built 1987 Buick GNX.

Trust me, there are many others that I wouldn't turn down, these just happen to be some of my favorites...................Take a look, and see what one, two, or ten you would covet!!

                8-O Wow...just wow...

I think that every single significant exotic car is in that room.

Except for an F50...although I would expect it to be buried in there somewhere.

Its amazing how fast his collection has grown in the past 3 years.
There had to be a good eight cars in those pictures that I don't reconize and I was there a few months ago. Several of the older corvettes there we have worked on or restored. The greatest part of it all is, the owner is great guy, very down to earth and personable.

He is bringing a couple cars to the eyes on design show on father day.

Ken and his staff and very down to earth. I spent time with them at the Dayton Power Tour stop. Ken Liengenfelter even took the time to walk over and see my 1970 El Camino, which he has one of in his collection.
