All the paint was Duplicolor brand. I painted them in 2 different sittings. i painted the red one weekend and then the black a different weekend. The Red paint was from the caliper kit that you can buy..i believe it was $17 at murrays. The black paint and the clear coat were spray cans that were like $6 each from pep boys. (They sell it at murrays also though). The caliper kit comes with a cleaner, masking tape, a brush, and the paint (comes in either black, red, yellow, silver, and i think maybe blue). So obviously you have to clean the surface that is going to be painted with the cleaner in the kit and wipe it down good, then you can mask off parts you dont want doneand paint the calipers and your not supposed to wait more than like 20 minutes in between coats. I did one side of the car first then did the other. So i started with the front caliper, then hit the back caliper and by the time i was done with the back it was ready for a second coat on the front. Once you have the calipers completely covered with paint and no dry spots or lights patches you have to let them sit for a couple hours before putting your wheels on and it says wait 24 hours before driving. ( the red paint i waited the full 24hours, but the black paint i did during the morning and drove it that evening and it was fine). It took me maybe 40 minutes to paint the red and maybe 15 to do the black. Then after i let the black sit for maybe 15 minutes, i put 2 coats of clear on everything. The longest part of the whole job is letting the paint dry. But the finish product turned out great as far as looks. Ill let you know if they start chipping or anything later on. heres a pic of the paints.
