  • Red Alert's Side Project

Well, while we are waiting for the engine to be done and all that fun, my dad and I have been kinda twiddling our thumbs feeling a little lost with nothing to do. So my dad worked on this side project.

It's the carbon fiber tailpanel that I purchased off a member from here back last fall. Fitment was alright to put it positively. We knew we had to cut out two notches in the carbon fiber to make it fit, but there's no actual mounting studs for the tailpanel so the only thing that holds it in place is the taillights. Otherwise, the overall quality is really damn good and the fitment is alright once you have it put into place correctly. I'm really happy with it overall. I was planning on it being a surprise for the Meet & Greet but since my car went boom boom pow I figured I'd give up the ghost.

Where do they sell these?! This would be great for my car! I mean, with the carbon hood and spoiler I wanna get, this could be badass to go along with it.

Brian - I just now really got a good look at it after you sent me the link (we had our pledge meeting right then).

That turned out REALLY good. A new take on the Berger Panel, I like it a lot.

And you're a carbon fiber whore - which is good.

not to be mean, but i think it looks out of place because the bottom part with the exhaust tips is black correct?

not a fan, the carbon panel looks like too much, but it may look better in person. the black stripes with the carbon panel isnt flowing for me. but its also not my car so my opinion means nothing
