I still do not understand how that thing is so quiet.

My car was as loud without the cutout as yours is with one open...weird.

Maybe once his gets tuned, or maybe your exhaust just sucked.

Keep in mind when my cutout is closed I'm going through a 2.5" magnaflow v6 exhaust system.

On the 2.5" vs. 3", I really don't think a small block needs 3". I know a touch of backpressure is a good thing. Not loads, but I'm pretty sure there's little difference between the two, except looks. If you put true duals with a crossover, I'm pretty sure you'd be happy with 2.5". Purely a suggestion. Neither setup would give problems, but 2.5" with a crossover may be cheaper and wouldn't have to look it.

i think a sinlge 3 inch would be plenty for what he has right now... that 2.5 is way to restrictive for that motor tho

                              Car runs strong Brian
                              Even through the 2.5 catback
Once the diagnostic port, speedsensor and shifting issues are solved, and the tune is done that thing will fly.

And as for the 2.5" catback
I told him he really needs a 3.5" setup like mine to get the most out of it.

Very cool Brian. Red Alert is bad!! As far as the exhaust, go a little bigger now and you won't regret it later.
