TURD GEN! Bring it to the track buddy and we will see who has the TURD!Originally posted by meissenGuys, get off his nuts already. He's not selling his car, he's keeping it and throwing the LT1 in it because it's something he already had available to him, he didn't have to buy any of it. If I had an LT1 motor sitting in my garage, I'd do the same thing. If you had the engine in your garage, I'm pretty sure you'd atleast try to do the same thing to, unless you have a turd gen, in which case the swap would probably be a lot harder than swapping an LT1 into a 3.4L. Let the man do what he wants to his own car.

Actually Meissen swapping an LT1 into a v8 "TURD" gen is easier then a 3.4 fourth gen. An LT1 is a Gen I SBC block it bolts right in. No need for new motor mounts, can use same tranny, same springs, same exhaust, same intake tract... same everything.Originally posted by meissenGuys, get off his nuts already. And we all know that fourth gens are really just glorified, weighed down third gens.

OMG that smiley is awesome!!! Yeah chill out people. Nick do the damned engine swap already and quit complaining about it!!! Geez. We all know you wish your car was faster but man find something new to rant about. I might ask for opinions on mods but it is usually something new and original. Just do it and make everybody happy and then no one will ever rag on you again... except me... because I'm allowed.
Peace man peace!

If I may clarify a little bit so that nobody is misinformed. It is easier to drop an LT1 in a 3rd gen if it is already a V8 car. As the LT1 is a 2nd gen SBC it does share the same mounting locations and overal dimensions as a Gen 1 SBC. A V6 3rd gen fbody would be just as or more difficult to swap and LT1 into as a 4th Gen fbody. Anyway, that's what Matt was saying, just a little more clarified.Originally posted by MattODoomActually Meissen swapping an LT1 into a v8 "TURD" gen is easier then a 3.4 fourth gen. And we all know that 4th gens are just sexier and smoother than Turd gens ever dreamed of being. Especially the LS 98-02 4th gens.

That's freaking great! As for the turd gen remark, I had to atleast get some teasing remarks in there.

Dude, I wasn't trying to go off on people. . . I had a thread about my V8 swap plans. I thought everyone knew, and they didn't. I have had a rough week, with 6 hour pit orchestra rehearsals everyday on top of work and school, and I'm just getting s*** thrown at me from all directions lately. The last 2 threads I have posted here have actually turned from their original topics to criticizing/taking shots at me.Originally posted by 92CamaroRSi am not trying to attack or insult anyone i just asked a simple question and he goes off on me, he expects everyone to know his plans of the lt1 swap when less then a month ago he posted that he was looking to buy a v8 fbody??...so....which is it?? it seems like every day its something diff...pers i dont care wtf u do but dont get mad at people for not knowing when u change your mind all the time...and for the record as a 3rd gen owner...93-02 camaro's are SEXY as hell...esp SS and WS6 models
