I was digging through some old pics this weekend, and came across some old shots of Camaros I had back in the day so to speak. This '79 was pretty basic, and I bought it while I was stationed out in San Diego in the Navy in 1984. Added a few asethic goodies and drove it everyday. It couldn't get out of it's own way, but had a great stereo for the time and was a lot of fun.

This one is my '84 that was also very basic. I bought this one local about six months after I got out of the Navy in 1987. My purpose was to get something that looked pretty good and would be reliable. I had always liked the 3rd gens and it was priced right. Both the '79 and this '84 had 305's, but this car turned out to be one of the most reliable cars I have ever owned. I drove this thing every single day without a hic-up until I sold it in '94 after a need for a truck. Great car and I still miss it.

Can you argue that it's "revolutionary"? Perhaps. Just because it's "new" and "different" doesn't mean it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Great pics...your 71 is one of my favorites here...Originally posted by Redd8407I WANT NOISE! SPEED! AN ENGINE THAT SHAKES MY INTERNAL ORGANS LIKE THEY GOT PARKINSON'S! It annoys me more then anything.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the positive comments. Speaking of back in the day, here are a couple of shots of me washing the Camaro a few weeks after I first got it back in March 1981. I posted several of these over on SouthSideStreetCars, but I thought it would be cool to share some here too. It was fun looking through these and brought back a lot of memories.Attached Files
