nice install! but why FAST? i know my dad removed his because he lost like 20WHP over a LS6 on his 02.... and id go to a vigilante stall once you put that purple monster in a car youll never want anything else

not sure what your dad did wrong but a FAST intake is much better than a ls6 intake any day of the week.

Did he tune the vehicle after he put the FAST on? I know Russ put the FAST on without tuning and it caused nothing but issues and made the car run really slow (12s vs low 11s)...

um yeah... his car made 1200 and change RWHP... id say it was tuned... EPP built the car.

                        Tuned before and after?

But Jeff's right...I don't really see how, especially from an engineering standpoint, a more restrictive intake can make more power...

could have been several issues, most guys don't use a fast at those power and boost levels because they tend to leak but that doesn't mean the runner design is bad.

i have not a clue what the issue was, but like older cars... you can put too big of an intake on your car... just because its big doesnt mean its good...
