looks good but I still dont understand why you have a firebird rear bumper with the w68 ground effects ONLY on the back. That is a v6 only kit. did you put that stuff on there? You should have a trans am rear bumper but you have a formula/firebird style rear bumper with the w68 sport appearance package ground f/x.

lol, the guy that owned it before me damaged the stock rear bumper somehow. He replaced it with a firebird rear bumper and threw on the w68 ground effects to make it look as low as the Trans Am rear bumper.

I'd like to put the regular Trans Am rear bumper on there someday, but it seems like such a waste of money since really only f-body guys are going to notice the difference, and the cost to buy a bumper and then get it prepped and painted is ridiculous considering this one is in perfect shape. Ironically I almost bought one a few months ago, but then bought the springs and shocks instead.

Lookin' good! A big part of that ride is the shocks you picked. I have Vogtland springs and they rode horrible with Koni's. I swapped them for some AGX's and it rides better than stock springs and DeCarbons.

Based solely on the reviews they get on ls1tech, I never would have bought them had I read about them before buying them (i found my set used for a decent price, and the only research I did on them before clicking the "buy it now" button was look at the ride height pictures, heh). Everyone says you'll feel every bump and crack in the road and that they handle and ride like absolute ass. If I found this to be the case, then I would totally say the same thing, because I'm not the kind of fanboy that's going to toot the horn of a crappy product just because I got suckered in to buying it. To me that's just not the case, though. I really like them.

Personally, I feel like these springs and shocks ride just as well as my stock springs and shocks on 90% of the roads around here. I mean sure, if you're going down a crappy road or have to drive over a bad set of railroad tracks then you're going to hear and feel the bumpstops hitting in the back, but from what everyone else was saying about these springs, I was led to believe that you'd be feeling them ALL the time on the tiniest cracks in the road. I just don't see that as the case, and I like the slammed look these springs give, so sacrificing some ride quality on bad roads was well worth it to me.

As for the handling aspect, I can't really comment. To me they feel more responsive than the stock shocks, but I'm not really one to push this car to the limits in the twisties. If you're truly looking for a spring and shock setup that handles well, anyone on ls1tech is going to tell you to go the Strano/Koni route. For the price and the stance though, I couldn't be happier with the sportlines.
