That's a dash mat - they're meant to fit a lot better than his pic shows and they protect the dash pad and such from getting too hot from direct sunlight. It's a good idea in theory but as shown in that pic the actual application of it doesn't always work

I do agree, though, it's not THAT bad. If the car was parked with its doors closed it wouldn't look that bad on the exterior. Needs some finishing touches to really work but it's not too bad. The taillights just need some tint so they don't stand out so bad.

The interior though ... painted interiors can look great, but that's a classic example of poor execution. Too many colors randomly placed all over. I thought my painted interior looked pretty bad ass...

        It did.

        His doesn't.

You went with a simple two-tone paint job, with red as the accent color, and did it very tastefully.

This other guy...went with nearly every color of the rainbow, and it's A) not tastefully done and B) it's overwhelming.

id have to say b that looks pretty good, and ive never seen it done like that before. everyone ive seen looks like some kid went slap happy with a can of spray paint. plus the fact your its half and half is WAY better. i think its because others only paint certain parts and you have colors everywhere it just ooks tacky to me. like they where lazy and only wanted to paint the vents.

im looking right now for another example of what im talking about

Your interior is too much for me Biran (bites tongue, but too late now) but then again I have a pretty conservative appearance taste with f bodies I like them pretty natural.

no they are overlays you can buy online, most custom ones are pretty expensive but I know you could get white overlays and put decals on them and it'd looks just as good.

Hey no harm no foul, Jeff. I usually try to do things that make conservative taste people go "YIKES!" My car has always been an "in your face" type of thing

Edit: My gauge overlay was made by Nu Image. Too bad you have a v8 and wanted white, I still have my v6 cluster and it's no use to me since I have the 97+ dash now.

Fred, yet again 6litereater is your man for the job. He actually has a group purchase going on right now on some other sites where he will CNC WHATEVER you want onto the gauges. I saw one where he replaced 100 mph with like OMG! 120 with something and 150 with DAAAMMMN. Or something along those lines. He can also put Z28 or the bowtie or whatever you want in the middle of the gauges, and it will light up just like the numbers.

EDIT: Here ya go Fred, browse this thread

I think that we should purse 6litereater as a sponsor on this site. He makes AWESOME stuff. Very much an innovative guy for the F-body community.

Other than the lambo doors and the ugly interior, it's not horrible. Just keep the doors closed at shows and he'll be fine, lol!
