  • Quad Exhaust tips ON a Mustang

SO I'm getting very mixed review on exhaust idea on my Mustang. Half the people are telling me that Quad tips is only for F-bodies and a mustang can't pull it off. Well, since I hate stereotypes, I figured I'd ask the F-body guys...

What do you think of quad exhaust on my mustang?

    One a little closer together...

I saw a LS1 site link that someone posted for Corsa quad tips and loved them. For all of you that don't know, Quad tips on a mustang is a HUGE no-no, but I think they look aggressive, just like the rest of my car.

definitely stick with the wider placement.

I think they look great, and i dont think they are an "fbody only thing"

Sorry, that's a photoshop. I wanted to get a feel for what it would look like first.

                I like 'em.

But I also like the width of your rear tire...if you didn't have that tire, I don't know if I'd like them as much...but as is, it looks great.

I'm going to go against the grain on this one...

While I do like them... I disagree with Joel on wider placement. I've never really seen the rear end of a Mustang before, so I don't know quite how that rear bumper at the bottom is set up, but it looks like there's a little section cut out in the center? On the very last picture it looks like you lined them up with that section, but if they could tuck into the bumper (vertically higher) just a LITTLE bit I think it'd be perfect. This is my personal opinion, but I always hate when tailpipes look like they're just randomly placed. IMHO, I think it looks better when there's something that "wraps" around the tailpipes a little bit or where there's some sort of body detail that makes the tailpipes flow with the rest of the car.

^On the stock bumper there's not a recessed area like it may look, just an unpainted black trim line. here's a picture that shows it a little better.

Like someone else said before, I think it's the tires that give it that wider look and the pipes look fine with that I think.

Yeah, the size of the tire really does do it. Since I'll never go back to little "gurlyman" 245's again, I think I may do it. I've got 315's on the car now.
