Well I don't think anything alum. would still be useable at all with the amount of heat that was there.
The heat baked the paint off so that acounts for all the rust

If you had the money and time you could restore it.
    It's not imposable!
The one thing about the car that would be a draw is that it wasn't wrecked, it was burned so she should be straight.

The problem is you can buy a 25th in driving condition for less than you'd have into rebuilding that one.

This is a hardtop (rare) for 10k....

This one is a T-top car, like the one in the junk yard, for 9k........

Besides after this weekend there'll be less of that car in the junk yard and more of it in my garage.

Not sure yet, all depends on what Tom leaves me to pick from. The guy at the junk yard says the rear of the car is ok, so who knows spoiler, tailights?????

how many 25th anniversary cars were produced?

I think it would be a fun restoration project - but someone would have to enjoy that aspect of it for all the money you would be dumping into it; definitely more than it would cost to just buy one.

very good point. is the vin number still visible? if not can the vin be found elsewhere on the car?

They made 1412 T-top coupes total.

1300 of which were automatics and 112 were 6spd manual.

The vin should be able to be found in the rear hatch area as well as on the rear bumper cover somewhere.

I'm just getting those two rims. A guy I know wants them for his 30th anniversary so he can put some DR's on them. May of been a low number of anniversary cars produced but he drives the shit out of his. Last time I was over this summer we did the 100k service.

What time you plan on going? Maybe I can just go then and help out.

poor car!! I'm glad its getting some use anyway. Least its not a total loss. I guess it's how you look at it lol.

And most likely it has a scrap title. That would mean it's worth nothing but the parts you can get off of it.

...I'd like to be there shortly after they open which is 8am, but that all depends on the weather. Sounds like we could be in for another blast of snow tonight, so that could delay my plans. I'll keep you posted.
