Gotcha, didn't know they tuned the pcm to work like that but it makes sense.

I know someone who can run a tune on it for you if you're ever in the area.

Nice... I had to choose between a red one with the high rise spoiler or silver with the lowrise. I chose silver because it is low maintance. I am jealous you don't have a sunroof. Look up SmokinJoe on cobaltss.net He has a TC that is black, lowered, with black wheels, and tinted windows, it looks sick!

I will keep that in mind however I will likely getting the Stage 1 Kit from GM IF/WHEN it is released. I bought a new car for the warrenty.
These motor respond very wheel to tune. One tuner said "we were making 48 more hp and 101 more torque than the stock engine"
              CRAZY!!!
To bad the transmission will not hold up with that kind of power

nice ride, i was thinking for my next car to either get a cobalt ss or a gmc syclone, i am still in between the two but i will most likely end up with an ss as my parents are gm employees and i can get a killer deal on it.

I had rented an '09 Malibu sedan when I went to NC. Only thing that wasn't "right" for me was the drive-by-wire on it. Been using throttle cables all my life. Just seemed a bit strange to me. At first, there'd be a lag, then it would take off. Could've been the rental car maintenance also, though.

I love the car, its pretty awesome, very fast.. and get looking..

the only downside with me owning mine is, I drive to detroit and back everyday, which is about an hour drive for me one way, Which means I'm putting a lot of miles on it, also, those racing seats aren't very comfy after and hour of driving.

Ive only had the car for a few months.. I already almost have 10000 miles on it :\

3 oil changes in 3 months seems a little excessive .. some of that also has to do with me visiting my friend in alma michigan multiple times.. 250 miles one way.

It's an awesome car.. I'd recommend anyone to get one if your looking for fun and fuel economy.
