Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Well I finally got a few hours to sit down and try to make a video from the Milan track rental where I busted my car again. Let me know what you guys think, its the first one I've made so go easy on me.
Thanks guys, yeah the last pics are sad but by next spring I'll be happy that it'll be so much stronger, I was gonna do it eventually anyways just a matter of time.
Sorry to see that Jeff.. Glad you don't seem to mind and are using it as an excuse to go FASTER! I see what you mean about our cars, you cut the same or better 60's than me, but our cars sure launch diff..

Well I've had just about everything else go wrong with the car thus far so after the 5th time you pretty much just don't mind as much and are able to think about the positive right away. Yeah our cars launch very different and I was really hoping to take the car to the strip again with the sway bar removed and see if it lifted any more than it does now, looks like it'll be next year.
I tried a few different thing that day but most of the time, when I cut my 1.6s, I stalled to about 3K and then when the third yellow hits I lay it to the floor. I actually tried flashing the car off idle at this event and ended up spinning just enough as you can see in that first run.

When i was at Stanton last weekend, Larry(IBADAIR) suggested I just try launching off idle. Idle is 850 on my car, brought it about to 1K for a little preload and launched from there every run. Car launched better and harder than it ever did when I tried 1500-3k launches.. I was always blowing the tires off at the higher rpm launches....
