I love his '80 fender vents!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everybody keeps telling me not to do that to my car.

Ray, I thought of you right away when I posted these pictures because I knew you liked those vents from a previous post I made. One reason I like them is that Mike has dual purposes for them, one being heat rejection and the other is as an access panel, he is able to remove the LH vent easily and gain access to wiring and relays he mounted behind the vents. For the RH side, removing the vent makes it easy to get at the heater blower motor if need be

Actually mine is lowered so yes, his is lowered. I know he went with coil overs on the front so he could get it as low as possible without any rubbing issues.

Thanks Derek for introducing me to this great site, you take pretty good pics. I would have answered sooner but I was out of town for work this week. Thanks everyone for the comments, I have been looking through some of the other cars on this sight and they are awesome. I hope I can contribute. Derek knows my car almost as good as I do and has answered most of your questions. The car has been lowered about 3 inches all around and has Intro wheels. I am glad to see at least someone likes the fender vents, this is probably the most controversial thing I did to the car, but hey if they were all the same it would be pretty boring.

It was fun having Xelerator and I working on our cars at the same time and finishing up at the same time. I have two 2nd gens but I am a big fan of all F-bodys and you guys have some of the nicest I have seen. I kind of got my eye open for a 3rd gen or an early 2nd gen F-bird to go with the Camaros. I cant decide if I want to do another project so soon or just settle for polishing for the next few years. The blue Z28 might have to go though if I get another project since my EX actually owns half but hasnt excercised her right yet. Derek is already working on me for next years show and it sounds fun. The color of my RS is PPG Pepper Gray. It has alot of small flake in it and scared the heck out of me when I sprayed a couple of test panels as this was my first attempt at completely painting a car myself. It is not Chip Foose quality but it looks pretty decent and I like to drive it. Look forward chatting with you all.
