  • Trans Am boat

1971 Donzi 2+3. Hull # C18-386. Boat has been on Greenwood Lake its whole life. Has been kept in dry storage at Willow Point Marina since brand new. The Marina would bring the boat out of dry storage for the original owner only on Memorial Day weekend. Once the weekend was over it would go back into dry storage. For the past 6 years it has been in dry storage and not used at all.

This boat was build by Donzi for Fred Merkle Jr. who was one of the biggest Pontiac Dealers in NY. It has all the colors of the early Pontiac Trans Am. I have all the original paper work and service records.

Boat has a 302 Holman Moody Ford with a 250 Volvo drive. Black hull sides, White hull bottom and deck. Brown boot stripe and deck stripe. Inca Gold interior. Boat is 100% original with maybe 20-30 original hours You will not find a nicer 71 Donzi that's all original and unrestored.

No just thought it was neat and that others might enjoy seeing it too.

It was for sale for $12,500 but then the guy took it off the market.... Donzi's have a huge following much like F-Bodies do!!

that is a pretty sweet boat. I have always had a thing for donzi's. Unfortunatly, the only time that I ever see them is when we go to Burt Lake.

Actually Wade, there's more to it than just a sticker. Donzi never offered that hull color scheme to the public. They also offered Inca Gold interior on a very limited basis. As for the Ford motor I agree with you, but back in the day Holman-Moody was the premier engine builder for go-fast boats.

The Corvette boat is pretty cool too. The trailers for those boats even came with Corvette wheels and tires.

I love Donzi boats they are so cool but I could never afford one right now or any time soon.

Here is a really cool boat but with the wrong type of engine. A Camaro Boat!

Ronnie and I sold Donzi Boats at our Wharf Marina in Grand Haven, in the late 90's.

We gave away a Sweet 16 Donzi as a radio and Burger King promo for the 1999 Shorline Shoot Out Offshore Powerboat Races I developed and promoted.
